Jessica's Expedition!

Everest Base Camp. Charity Challenge. · 26 November 2012
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! I am raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer as its something that is very close to my heart and has effected so many people I love and care about.
Not only am I taking part in this trek to raise money for an amazing charity that I am passionate about, but as a personal challenge too. Now that I have completed a Sports degree and now in employment, I think its the perfect time for me to find out eaxctly the type of person I am. And do something a bit different!

Sleeping arrangements are 2 man tents throughout the trek. Apart from the night spent at Kathmandu, which is in a 3* hotel. Due to the remoteness of the area food and drink will be basic but nutritous and the toilet facilities.....uh....interesting I think is the best term! A toilet tent is provided and of the "squat and drop" variety. Still--all part of the experience!
Money that will be donated will help to save the lives of 46,000 women and 300 men who are diagnosed with Breast Cancer each year. This page summarises how donated money can help with treatment, diagnosis and finding a cure: http://www.breakthrough.org.uk/our_work/our_research/how_your_money_helps/index.html
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Please help me reach my target so we can take one step closer to finding a cure!
Thanks, Jess x
