Story
After having to defer my last two entries to the Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2018 and 2019 (the first due to a persistent foot injury and the second due to my own state of mind following a job change and relocation) I have set myself the new challenge of running the Cambridge Half Marathon in March 2020 for the charity ‘Head to Toe’.
Head to Toe is the charity for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT). They help the amazing NHS staff to provide even better care and treatment by enhancing the services that CPFT provides, supporting people of all ages receiving mental health, community and social care across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
I suffer from General Anxiety Disorder and know first-hand what a difference the opportunities of support can do for your head and self-esteem. Mental Health is becoming less of a taboo topic and with thanks to charities like ‘Head to Toe’ people are learning that they are not alone with their battles and that they can feel
better.
As previously planned, I will be running the race dressed as a cat...so if you'd like to see me run 13.1 miles complete with ears and tail please donate to ‘Head to Toe’ today and help them to continue their incredible work!
Help meowt. Help others. Help Head to Toe.
Much love,
Jessi-cat
