Story
Bowel cancer is the UK's second-biggest cause of cancer deaths. That's a pretty scary statistic.
But here's a good one: over 93% of people diagnosed with bowel cancer at an early stage survive for at least five years compared to less than 7% of those diagnosed at a late stage. That's why it's important to know the signs and get checked out if you think something is wrong.
To help raise awareness, I'm supporting the Decembeard Beating Bowel Cancer campaign. Over the course of this month, I'm going to grow the most epic beard I can. A beard that puts the hipsters of both Shoreditch and Williamsburg to shame.
The money raised will fund Beating Bowel Cancer's work supporting people affected by bowel cancer and raising awareness of the disease, its symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis.
Anything you can give to support the campaign is very much appreciated. You can even donate by text. Text JALT50 £5 to 70070 to donate!
Thanks for you support, and get ready for 31 beard-tastic days!
