Story
Hi, my name is Jessica and I am 9 years old. Last year I decided I wanted to do an annual charity fundraiser that raised money for different charities each year. Last year me and my family climbed the stairs for a 3 Peak Challenge and raised over £1000 for Bullies Out and Macmillan.
This year I have decided I want to raise money for young people that are living on the streets and don't have homes of their own. I am going to be completing the St Basil's Big Sleep Out on 25th November in a tent in my garden. I am then planning to sleep out one night every weekend from the sleep out until Christmas.
I have chosen to do this because one night didn't seem enough when the people on the street don't have a choice to stop living that way.
If you would like to help me then please donate whatever you can as every little helps.

On Friday 25th November, I am taking part in St Basils' Big Sleepout at Millennium Point, to support young people who are homeless / at risk of becoming homeless. Many of us are going into this winter with a sense of dread. The cost of living is soaring, energy prices have more than doubled and the weekly shop is more expensive than ever. Most of us have the resources to face these rises, by cutting down on luxuries or dipping into savings we can survive the winter, but what do you do if you're already struggling to make ends meet and keep a roof over your head? These increases will push many people into poverty and many family relationships will break down under the strain and people will lose their homes. With that in mind, I'm asking for donations to help ensure that all young people at risk of homelessness in our region can get the help they need.Find out more about St Basils and the work that they do, here: https://stbasils.org.uk/about-us
