Story
Lulu Blundell is an ex student of ours, and the daughter of our colleagues. She was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 15.
Lulu went through chemotherapy and had to have her leg amputated to save her life. On the 20th January 2020 she was cancer free!
For two and a half years she has not took a single day for granted and lived her life to the fullest and with the most incredible determination, courage and bravery, not allowing her amputation prevent her from loving and appreciating life.
Lulu is now 19 years old. Tragically, she has recently discovered that the cancer has returned, and is terminal giving her only 3 months to live.
In her own words, she has been living, breathing and feeling most people's worst nightmare and yet she selflessly managed to raise over an astonishing £50,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.
She says that time and time again through chemo, remission and relapse Teenage Cancer Trust have saved her life - whether that be physically, or mentally. Every single nurse, therapist, social worker that has worked with Lulu has been her little ray of sunshine that she's needed, and for that reason she wanted to raise as much money as she could for this amazing charity.
Recently, Lulu has managed to complete a 5K herself alongside family and friends. She did it with no training, one leg and terminal cancer. She had a target of £5,000 but raised £15,932!
As a school we have been deeply moved by Lulu's courageous journey and inspirational fundraising. As a result, we feel the least we can do is to support her in continuing to raise money so that other teenagers like Lulu get the care and support they need too.
If you are able to donate, even the smallest amount, that would be amazing. Together we can unite to make a big difference. Thank you so much for your support.
