Story
Sadly, on the 7th March 2020 our Charli made the devastating decision to take her own life. Charli was such a caring, out going, sassy, gorgeous character. She would light up any room she’d walk in to and she touched so many peoples lives. Every persons life she has touched will share a memory of Charli that they’ll never be able to forget, we will always be grateful for the memories we were able to share with her and we will cherish them forever.
In remembrance of Charli, me and my brother Mitch, have decided to do a skydive to celebrate what would have been her 18th birthday and raise money for a charity that helps to prevent Suicide in young people. The skydive will take place on the 20th September in Nottingham. Any donations will be hugely appreciated to help us raise money for a charity that is very close to our hearts. It breaks my heart everyday knowing our beautiful Charli will not get the chance to grow up into the stunning, amazing woman we all know she would have been. Raising money for PAPYRUS will help to ensure young people like Charli will get the opportunity to grow up and live a happy, healthy life.
It is important for every young person to know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel and the darkness they might be feeling now, won’t last forever. There is always going to be friends, family, partners, support workers and charities that will be here for them to talk to, no matter the time or day. It is ALWAYS better to open up and talk to someone, you are not alone.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💜 💜
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
