Story
I’ve been out to visit these kids in rural Morocco and they are definitely worth fundraising for!
The school I visited with the Belazu Foundation is up in the Atlas mountains which was a 2 hour drive from Marrakech. These villages are very remote, which really does show why they need our support, they are 2000ft up in the mountains, dirt tracks guiding your way, 4wd only access with share cliff drops right on the edge of the roads. The drive was terrifying to say the least. But we made it up in one piece and the whole village had come out to welcome us with dancing, singing and lots of very happy kids wanting to shake your hands. We were shown around the village and their little classroom that they are all very proud of, the day was topped off by a massive feast of delicious breads, couscous and Moroccan stew. Amazing.
Now it’s my turn to do something to give back to them, I have committed myself to ride 30kms across London for this charity and would love if you could help me out by sponsoring me a few bucks :)
