Story

On 28th August Mike Palfreman (CEO of Hospice), Paul Turrell and Simon Fanning (Mike's friends) will be starting the first leg of their hugely challenging 870 mile walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Mike will be starting his mileage off in Jersey accompanied by several friends and colleagues. He will join the intrepid duo at various intervals and the group will be joined along the way by over 50 friends and colleagues for many of the 32 legs of the walk.

Mike completed 500 miles last year, is aiming for the same this time, and he felt that making the walk a joint event both marks his move from Haven House to Jersey Hospice Care and celebrates the shared aims of all hospices across the UK; to help bring dignity and choice to those living with dying and to help all, of whatever age, live life to the full.

All funds raised on this page will be donated to Jersey Hospice Care and will be even more critical at this time in enabling the hospice to withstand the impact of the ongoing pandemic.

You can read about the services of Jersey Hospice Care through the link above.

You can also follow this year’s walk by reading Simon’s daily blog at www.simonfanning.blog

Please support Mike, Paul and Simon, all the walkers in this immense challenge, and through them Jersey Hospice Care, by sponsoring them for as much as you can afford. A very big thank you from all of us.
