Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Help for Heroes page.

I completed the 325 mile cycle race organised by the Tour of Wessex race team at the end of May.

The event ran over three days across the South West of England - big hills over the moors and fast sections on the levels to the sea. I  chose to support the help for heroes charity in this quest.

Overall I burnt off 27000 plus calories and climbed nearly 30,000 feet of ascent !!  Had 2 punctures numerous near misses with gravel rash, tired legs and aching shoulders.

I completed the race in 23 hours and earnt a bronze medal.

My next challenge is the magnificat sportive 126 mile race on the 14th June from Newbury race course over the hampshire and Berkshire downs.

We all here about the sad loss of life in the media but we hear less about the devastating injuries our troops have to deal with.

Hundreds of our troops are returning from Afghanistan and Iraq every month wounded in action, losing legs, feet, hands, fingers, arms, sight, hearing and feelings.

Donating to help for heroes is a great way to support these young lads that are in need of our support to get their lives back on track.

Donating through JustGiving is secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks for your support.
