Story

Last year I took part in Wednesfield Aces' cycle speedway race. 16 novice riders taking to the track in a challenge of wits, speed and brute force. You can read all about it here: http://jerometurner.wordpress.com/2012/09/17/my-first-foray-into-cycle-speedway-what-fun/

And we're doing it again. It's a long way off, not until September, but I'm setting this page up now before I forget.

And it's worth noting there's a new charity this year. I used to work near Birmingham Children's Hospital so walked past there every day and often found it quite affecting. Need I add how important your donation is? Probably not.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
