Tough Mudder 2013 - South West · 21 September 2013 to 22 September 2013 ·

We want St Peterʼs and St Nicholasʼ churches to be at the centre of the life of our growing town, to be available to all who wish to use them. These historic buildings need to be welcoming and accessible, with good community facilities, reflecting the needs people have when using our buildings.

Story

If you don’t like small confined spaces, if you don’t like heights, if don’t like swimming in sub-zero temperature waters, if you don’t like throwing yourself off 30 foot walls into a cold lake, then maybe the Touch Mudder obstacle course isn’t for you. However if you can handle the above and your happy to run through burning hay bales, or through electrified netting while your soaking wet, then maybe you’d like to join the church team and run the course this September. Either way we need your help!

As part of the Embrace the Future campaign Portishead Church of England has formed a team of hardy contestants that will face the horrors of one of the world’s toughest assault courses. 12 miles and 25 obstacles later and the team will be celebrating their victory – please pray for us!

We are hoping to raise £8000 from the event and so whether you are in the team or not – You are in the team when it comes to fundraising. Please help us to better serve our growing town. More than 12000 different people come through the doors of St Peter’s church every year; help us achieve our target so we can serve these people and more.
