I've never run as far as this before, so it is going to be quite a challenge. I don't know quite what is going to happen - but sponsor me and let's find out!

But the real reason I'm asking you to sponsor me is not so that I can have a jolly day out, or even for all the weeks and months of exhausting, gruelling, life-sapping, trauma I'll be going through to get ready for it, running, gasping for breath, my feet bleeding from the sheer [get on with it - Ed], but for the people who Christian Aid support. People who actually really need a lot of help and whose life could literally be transformed from anything you feel able to give.

It's often difficult for us to see just how different lives can be - but Christian Aid help people for whom being desperately hungry, too poor to buy the basic essentials, or being thrown out of their homes, victims of extreme physical violence, or simply unable to have the simple health protection they need, are not just words but a day to day reality or threat.

Christian Aid is a long and well established charity operating in the developing world. THEY DON'T JUST HELP CHRISTIANS! Or make it any kind of condition. But motivated by Christian ideas and love they help those who need it the most.

Any kind of support you are able to give, I, and more importantly some people who will really benefit from it, will be very grateful indeed for.
