Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving  page.

On 10th March, Lisa and I are setting off on an epic journey. We will be walking the 3,200 km Via Francigena, in the  footsteps of. pilgrims who have gone before us. The route starts in the heel of Italy, crosses the Apennines and after heading through Rome and Tuscany, we will walk through the Alps, across the top of lake Geneva and then home through France.

Our aim is to take just over 6 months, which with breaks means around 25km a day on average, 6 days a week. I’m nervous about the ability of my creaking body to manage the tour but I am so excited for the views, food, wine and adventures to come.

Whilst we walk, we’d love to raise money for Beyond. It does such important work to support kids’ mental health, all at a time when we know that those kids are struggling more than ever. Thanks for anything you donate.
