Story
On Sunday 1st to Saturday 14th October 2017 six of us will be cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats, riding approximately 1000 miles in 14 days. The hope is to raise £20,000 for the Jumbulance Trust to buy a new specially adapted vehicle.
The Jumbulance Trust exists to make travel possible for adults and children who are disabled or have a serious or complex health conditions. They offer the opportunity to groups and individuals who wish to go on holiday, take short breaks or a day out.
For the past 2 years I've been involved as a volunteer on the yearly ski trip to Austria. I've seen the huge difference it makes to people's lives - Witnessing the fun and excitement that this trip brings to people and hearing of its importance in their lives makes the experience one that sets us all up for the year ahead.
I'd never been on a pair of skis before. I've also never cycled more than about 20 miles but The Trust needs a new vehicle to help transport everyone and to help continue making such a positive impact, so we thought we'd try and help out.
All donations gratefully received - Thank you for your support
