Story
Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page.
We’d consider ourselves to be a pretty blessed family, if it wasn't for brain tumours.
Since Phoebe’s first diagnosis 12 years ago, it has been an unwelcome part of family life and despite medical advances plus the wonderful care we’ve received over the years from the NHS, we are no closer to finding a cure. We can no longer afford to wait and hope that one comes along.
The Challenge
As a family we will be taking part in the Twilight Walk; a 10km yomp through London on Saturday 25th March 2023. We hope to raise as much money as possible to help raise awareness of brain tumours, fund research, reduce diagnosis times and provide support and information for other people with brain tumours, their families and friends.
The Charity
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40. The Brain Tumour Charity believe that fighting brain tumours on all fronts of research, awareness and support is the only way to save lives, reduce long-term disabilities and to help everyone affected by a brain tumour. The charity's goals are to double survival of a brain tumour diagnosis within 10 years in the UK, and to halve the harm that brain tumours have on quality of life.
