Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I
In September this year I'm going to to ride a bike from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, via a small mountain chain called the Pyrenees.
Riding with a special team of 15 armed forces veterans, all of whom have suffered injury or misfortune of one sort or another. We are part of "65 Degrees North" (65degreesnorth.co.uk), a small non-charitable outfit.
65 Degrees North believes in "Rehabilitation through Adventure" and this event will provide just that.
I've had a few adventures during this time, all of them hugely rewarding, but none as challenging as this. This is a team effort and we are blessed with a great team - all under the inspirational leadership of Jonathan Thomson.
I joined the team late as they gathered at Swansea University in May for a day of work-outs, tests and research followed by a fund-raising gala dinner. This marked the serious start of my training for the 700km bike ride with 11,500m of ascent.
I am raising funds for the Royal Marines Charity because it does excellent work.
It is also supporting hundreds of other deserving people throughout the Royal Marines family.
