Story
I am raising money for St Barnabas Hospice who have lost around £2 million since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Any money you can donate to support me with this challenge would be greatly appreciated.
In 2017 my Mum was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. During her illness Mum visited St Barnabas and took part in the therapies offered. I know that the visits Mum made to St Barnabas offered some solace to her.
Mum died in March 2020 as the UK went into lockdown and only 7 people attended her funeral.
In the months following Mum's death it has been incredibly hard to properly honour her memory as the UK went in and out of successive lockdowns. Hopefully, almost 2.5 years after we lost Mum, my walking the coast to coast and raising some money for St Barnabas is, hopefully, a fitting legacy to Mum.
