We provide specialist care and support to life-threatened children & their family

Story

After the sad loss of his school friend Sophie, Fred decided that he would like to do something positive. Along with a number of other children from Exning primary school, Fred swims for Newmarket swim club. He thought that he would like to organise a sponsored swim for EACH who run the hospice who helped care for Sophie and her family in her final weeks.

Newmarket swim club are having their second 'Swim the dream' charity event on Friday evening 5th July from 6pm till midnight. They have kindly allowed children and adults from Exning Primary School to take the first hour to swim in the memory of Sophie and hopefully raise money for EACH (A charity which has previously helped other families from the swimming club)

Exning is a small village and the families from the school and Stepping stones (the attached PreSchool) form a close community. We have all been friends with Sophies family for many years. Hannah shall also be swimming in her memory. Although Hannah doesn't swim as regularly as Fred she has very good technique and a beautiful style.

Sponsorship through 'justgiving.com' simplifies collecting sponsors. It is used by many charities and for lots of events. It worked very well when Gaynor and Hannah took part in  'Race for life'.

We really appreciate your support. Thank you.
