Having completed my first half marathon in 2011, my running challenge for this year is to complete the StonIeigh Park 10K on 24 June, the Bristol half marathon on 30 September and the Birmingham half marathon on 23 October.  I have also entered the ballot for the 2013 London Marathon ...!

I am hoping to raise money in memory of those who have lost their battle with cancer and in celebration of those who are fighting this terrible disease.

I have witnessed the work of Cancer Research UK, both in my former life as a research scientist and when a dear relative took part in a trial for a new cancer therapy that was supported by this charity, and I continue to be excited by their efforts to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. 

Any support you can offer - whether sponsorship, taking part in any of the events with me or cheering for me at the events - would be gratefully received.
