Story
For those who don’t know our story or ‘theirs’ Jenson and Oliver both have a rare eye condition called BCM which has left them both sight impaired, colourblind and photophobic which there is currently no cure or treatment for. Jenson also has a further diagnosis of autism which makes the world around him a strange place to understand. Fulham football club help to make the lives of children like mine a little easier and not only promote but offer so many activities and opportunities to access clubs and even matches which would otherwise be impossible! The boys will be walking 4 miles which believe me will be a challenge to raise awareness and some pennies to help keep this amazing work going, if you can spare even just a £1 you would have made their day, thank you!
Fulham Football Club Foundation run a number of different programmes for Children and Adults with disabilities in our local community. From Pan DisAbility Football to disability specific sessions; for those with Down's Syndrome, Autism and Visual Impairments, our aim is to provide an environment best suited to the needs of the individual participants. All our DisAbility Programmes focus on the Ability of the participant and help them to achieve their potential. Funds raised from this walk will go a long way to supporting these programmes and the all the participants involved. The day will start and finish at Craven Cottage, with participants their families and friends walking a 4 mile loop along the Thames and arriving back at Craven Cottage in time to relax and watch the Fulham FC v Blackburn Rovers game!
