Andy Lowndes and Scott Young are walking the West Highland Way in memory of Jennifer Cassidy Lowndes (12.01.70-18.12.12) and will be joined along the way other members of Jen's family and some of her friends.

Jen lived with cancer for 12 years. She accepted it from the start, and smiled throughout her treatment, always positive just the way she lived her life. Her famous reply, where we were concerned – even as she was dying, was, ‘I’m fine, don’t worry.’

Jen's most important love was her family.  She was always loyal, kind, thoughtful, smiling, fun and clever. But above all, courageous and brave. All of these made up Jen’s beautiful nature.

 Jen taught us how to how to live; ‘smile and get on with it’ was always her attitude. And she taught us how to die: calm, dignified, no questions, acceptance, and finally peace.
