Story

On 2nd February this year, we lost our devoted Grandma. She had fought such an amazingly strong battle against Dementia and Alzheimers for over 10 years.

We spent Grandma's final few days by her side, looking through old photos and listening to her favourite songs. It wasn't and still isn't an easy time for any of the family as she was such a big part of all our lives. However, we can't help but feel almost lucky in the fact that we were able to say goodbye as we know that this isn't possible for other families going through the same thing at the moment.

As a result of this, Anna and I have decided to set ourselves the goal of completing 500 miles of running and cycling between the two of us. We started working towards this goal on 5th May and aim to reach it by 5th June. We have decided to do this in aid of Alzheimer's Scotland in order to support care homes and care in the community throughout these tough times.
