Story
Linz is my friend and wants to do this in memory of her Dad, I want to support her to do this. We can encourage each other!
Whilst we have known each other many years, it is unfortunate that brain tumours have become some common ground for me and Linz...
In June 2017 my Mum was diagnosed with Triple negative breast cancer, she went through the treatments and thought she had beaten it. March 2019 she suffered seizures and was diagnosed with multiple brain tumours secondary to her breast cancer. In January this year we were told the prognosis for Mum is very poor and that her time is now limited. Whilst the research for Mums cancer would lie mainly in breast cancer we have become scarily aware of the limitations to brain tumour care.
I do not know how I am going to cycle 10 miles a day but I'll focus on the strength of my Mum and of Linz and her Dad!
PLEASE PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN! Every penny counts!!! Brain Tumours can affect anyone, at any time. They are the single biggest killer of the under 40's in the UKEvery week approx 15 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour in Yorkshire. Research has been underfunded for brain tumours, with current treatments nearly 40 years old.We aim to fund world-class research here in Yorkshire to find treatments and a cure. Whilst we do that we will provide support to people living with and affected by brain tumours, emotionally, practically and financially for as long as they need us.
