Story

Hi there thanks for visiting my justgiving fundraising page.

Well this is the year, I am finally going to do a half marathon!!!!!

I was inspired by my mate Anna (http://www.justgiving.com/gettingbackonthebike) who last year was in a bad mountain biking accident which resulted in her sustaining three compression fractures in her spine. Anna has always been a very active person and I know it was difficult for her to go through this tough time of worry and uncertainty but thankfully due to her positive and bubbly nature and lots of hard work she has made a full recovery.

After she was back on her feet we got chatting and decided it was time for us both to do a challenge to get our confidence back and do something to raise money for a charity who help and support people with spinal injuries. So this year we are going to be doing a number of events and for my part I will be running in the Ignis Asset Management Women's 10k (May 2009) and the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon (September 2009).

I would appreciate your support in this fundraising, as I feel it is a great cause worth supporting, and would like to thank those of you who decide to donate.

I look forward to achieving the goal of raising lots of money, oh and all of the running aghhhh!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Spinal Injuries Scotland gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks again

Jenny
