Story
This page is dedicated to Jenny Spurs – wonderful daughter, caring sister, perfect girlfriend and incredible friend.
Our beautiful Jenny was diagnosed with bowel cancer in December 2011 and fought it until the end. Her spirit and determination in the face of her illness has inspired us all and will continue to do so forever.
Never have we known someone with such a gentle and kind nature; such a wonderfully ridiculous sense of humour; nor someone with such an incredible capacity for love and care towards everyone she knew. She lit up rooms, hearts and the most difficult times with her brilliant grin and infectious laugh and was the first to see the silver lining in everything. Despite her immense talents in art, music, drama, writing, cooking, pretty much every sport and so many other things, Jenny had a quiet inner confidence and was always modest, always seeking to encourage success and talent in others. She will be desperately missed and never forgotten: the pain of our loss will only be lessened by our wonderful memories of the times we were lucky enough to have shared with her.
We hope that this page will give all her friends and family the opportunity to contribute towards the remarkable work being done by Macmillan Cancer Support in supporting those in their own battles against cancer. To donate towards work to help develop treatments for this all-too-powerful disease which has taken our wonderful girl away, please see Jenny's other fundraising page for Cancer Research UK.
We have loved you so much, Jenny, every moment of every day, and you will be in our thoughts and our hearts forever x
