We offer a youth program for ages 8-21 to improve opportunities for local youth

Story

I have embarked on a number of challenges over the years but this one I believe is a biggie and I wanted to use this as an opportunity to raise money for one of our more local charities impacted by this pandemic.   Hogarth community centre Is a brilliant place for our children to attend.   The youth workers are amazing and it’s a real haven for Charlie after school every day and through the summer.   The cost to the parents is minimal but with the schools being shut this funding support has disappeared.   If I can even bridge a small amount of that gap through this Charlie and I will be forever grateful!

Some more info on the Hogarth centre...

For over sixty years the Centre has delivered a programme of activities that has seen many young people benefit, learn and grow from the opportunities. From the beginning of 2019 the Youth Programme has been the responsibility of the Trust which funds it from Centre licensee income, grants and donations. Since establishing its independence, the Youth Programme has been expanded to include more activities throughout the year.

The Community centre are deeply committed to youth work in terms of informal education, life skills, and youth equality.  Those who attend the youth programme come from very diverse backgrounds, they all prize access to a safe and secure place outside of school and home. They are equally united in their determination to make a better future for themselves via an informal education which builds not only key life skills, but also nurtures lasting friendships

Anything you can do to support and help me along the way would be amazing xx

About the charity

The Hogarth Youth and Community Centre is located in the heart of Chiswick between the William Hogarth and St. Mary’s RC primary schools. The Centre combines multiple licensed activities including a gym, a martial arts studio and a nursery with a youth service which serves young people aged 8-21. The Centre provides a safe and warm environment for young people to chill out with friends. The youth programme includes a Junior Club for 8-11 year olds, an Intermediates Club for young people in Years 7, 8 and 9 and Senior Youth Club for 11-21 year olds. A very experienced team of youth workers provide multiple club activities which include arts & crafts, basketball, boxing, cooking workshops, dodgeball, DJ and music mixing workshops, football, pool, table-tennis and volley ball. The youth service also provides half-term and longer holiday programmes and was recently awarded a Silver Level London Youth Quality Mark, a quality assurance scheme accredited by City and Guilds. The Hogarth Charitable Trust Company Limited registered as a UK charity in 2000 and is governed by a Board of Trustees. All donations to the Centre are very gratefully received and strictly ring-fenced to fund the youth services.
