Story
19 May: I made it, somehow. And it didn't rain, which was great. I take my hat off to all those women who trained properly, they were the ones constantly streaming past me as I got slower and slower. I did moan a lot, but I did complete the 26.2 miles about half an hour faster than last year. And I really have said NEVER AGAIN. But there's still time to ensure I raise more money than before.....
Update: It's tomorrow - I really meant to do more training, but have only managed one 10.5 mile walk. It's going to be tough, and it's going to rain. I'll update afterwards to let you know how I get on.
I know. Last year I said never again. But the Moonwalk is such a great event, with such a great atmosphere, and so much tougher than you'd think. So I've decided to give it one more go. This year I will walk it faster, moan less (which will please my sister Jane) and I'd like to raise more money for breast cancer charities. So please, sponsor me if you can, or leave a message to encourage me when my feet and legs are aching and I start wishing I was at home in bed. And please do phone or text me on my way round, it's a real boost.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Walk The Walk Worldwide gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
