Those of you who know us well will already be very familiar with our story. Here is a quick resume for those not so well acquainted. In 1997, at the age of 33, we received the fairly crushing news that I had a grade three tumour in my right breast. The next ten months were spent enjoying the wonderful facilities and the excellent company of many members of the NHS. This involved surgery, chemotherapy and radio therapy, not to mention the season ticket to the hospital car park! Ten years later I took the big decision to have reconstructive surgery, this took place just before christmas 2007. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made, in more ways than the obvious boob job and tummy tuck. A few days into 2008 I received a call from my plastic surgeon to inform me how devastated she was, tests performed on tissue removed from my left breast during surgery had tested positive for breast cancer. Wow, another season ticket! This time I managed to get away with just another boob job, move over Pamela Anderson! This all may sound very flippant, it is not meant to be. Times like these make you re-evaluate what is important. Live, love, laugh, and enjoy every bit of it.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
