Story

**************************************************************

Ive done it! I not only got myself but also my team up 5 of the highest peaks in the UK! It was the FIRST year for Lufbra RAG that EVERYONE has completed all the peaks - only the 2nd time that all 5 peaks have been reached!!! (and its been running for a while)

We were so unbelievably lucky with the weather: there was not even a breath of wind at the summit of Ben Nevis - conditions found there only 10-20 days a YEAR! It was an awesome experience:-

*~10 hours sleep,

*~30 hours walking,

*seeing 3 sunsets and 3 sunrises,

*having a shower in a mountain spring waterfall on Ben Nevis,

*swimming in a tarn below Scafell Pike & Great Gable,

*bivvy bag sledging on Ben Nevis,

*sleeping under the stars in a bivvy bag,

*bacon butties for brekkie every morning,

*getting sunburnt in Scotland, North England AND Wales...??!?

*living on a coach,

*meeting some amazing people

as well as so much more - and all in a mere 76 hour trip away from Loughborough!!!

Nearly £600 is an absolutely insane amount, and every penny means SOOOO MUCH to me. If you havent sponsored me yet, or just not paid up, there is still time - its REALLY easy here - or drop me a message jennyeyre@hotmail.com. Any amount whatsoever would be amazingly appreciated :-)

Photo proof of each of the summits is above - to see some more photos, check out http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=89314&id=512247764&l=203d9fbb65 (you don't need to have facebook)

Thanks SO much to everyone who has sponsored me so far! Every donation, be it 1p, £1 or £10 means so much to me, please donate anything you can.

Much mountain-conquering love,
Jen x

Great Ormond Street Hospital means a lot to me as my younger cousin has spent a lot of time there. She celebrated her 10th birthday last month and without GOSH and their absolutely amazing work, we probably wouldn't have her with us. This is my way of attempting to start thanking them.

Every penny donated REALLY does mean SO MUCH to me.

In June, I am going to attempt the 5 peaks Challenge. This involves climbing (and descending) 5 of the highest peaks in the UK, within 72 hours. Travelling by night, the only sleep/rest is got on the coach!

Day 1: Scotland - Ben Nevis (4406ft - tallest in the UK)

Day 2: Lakes - Scafell Pike (3162ft - tallest in England) & Great Gable (2949ft)

Day 3: Wales - Snowdon (3560ft - tallest in Wales) & Cadair Idris (2930ft)

I am a group leader for this, so not only am I going to be trying to complete it myself, but leading a group of 6/7 other students up the mountains too!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Loughborough Students Rag gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Although my page says Loughborough Students RAG (Raising and Giving), 100% of the money I raise will go to GOSH. The RAG team just need it to go via them to keep tabs on the amounts raised by Lufbra students. They will then either send it direct to GOSH on my behalf, or give me a cheque to take in personally.

So PLEASE sponsor me now.
