Story

Endometriosis is a disease that affects 1 in 10 women, with symptoms including breathing difficulties, chronic period pain, food intolerance, digestive and urinary issues, vomiting and diarrhoea. Average diagnosis takes 7 - 10 years... far too long!! This leaves those who suffer in constant pain and worry, causing medical trauma and in 50% of cases, leading to infertility. There is no cure, only management of symptoms.

Following my diagnosis, I am currently on Hormone Replacement Therapy whilst I wait for my surgery to remove the scar tissue around my bladder, bowel and uterus.

I hope that by running the Brighton Marathon for Endo UK, I will raise awareness of this horrible disease so that others in the future won't suffer the way that I, and many others have.

If you can spare any donation at all, please use the link on this page. The Endometriosis community and charity really would be ever so grateful. Thank you so much for reading. Jenny xx
