I can't believe its over now after all my jogs around Tooting Bec Common. There was lots of pre race anxiety as we had to queue for over an hour to use the manky porta loos, I was so desperate that I went behind a bush in a private garden and now I'm worried that I've been caught on CCTV! We ended up missing the start of the race, but we saw the professionals zoom past the 1K mark on the other side of the road.

We eventually got to the start at about 10.30 and while George zoomed off I stayed with my sister in law, Anna, who really helped me jog at the right pace. I got a stich at 5k but managed to feel OK until about 6.5k, then I had to walk a bit, then managed to keep going until 8k but then it was pretty hard work and I had to walk a couple of times for no more than a minute just to get my breath back.

I spotted a few other CF runners and there was a great atmosphere. When we started the race, the clock was at 44mins, and I crossed the finish line at 1hr 45mins - initially I calculated this as 1 hr 5 mins. Then George pointed out to me afterwards that it was actually 1hr 1 min - hooray! I was aiming for 1hr so I'm quite pleased with that.
