Story
This year, having moved abroad, I'm making sure I do a few things that scare me. As part of that challenge, on May 23rd, I'm taking on the CN Tower EdgeWalk, which REALLY scares me. The EdgeWalk is the world’s highest full circle hands-free walk on a 5 ft wide ledge encircling the top of the Tower’s main pod, 356m/1168ft (116 storeys) above the ground.
I'm not the biggest fan of heights. But this year, I'm doing something I would never normally dream of doing, to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK.
Bowel Cancer is the 4th most common cancer in the UK. It is the 2nd biggest cancer killer in the UK.
9 years ago, I lost my mum to it. Ever since, I've wanted to do something to raise money in support of Bowel Cancer research so that one day, these stats change.
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. They fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. Their aim: to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
