Welcome to the Ataxia Classic Team Fundraising Page! On Sunday 27 September our supporters are gathering together to take part in the Ataxia Classic to raise funds and awareness to support those affected by ataxia.

Story

On Sunday 27 September 2020 I am taking part in the first ever Ataxia Classic cycle to raise crucial funds for research into treatments and a cure, and to provide support for those affected by ataxia.

Ataxia is the name given to a group of conditions that affects the cerebellum: the part of the brain that controls movement and sends signals through the nervous system, which causes problems with balance, co-ordination and speech, disrupting your ability to communicate and control your body.

My Dad has a form of adult-onset ataxia, his younger brother and older sister, who both sadly passed away in the last 12 months, also had ataxia. I would like to raise funds for the charity, who support those affected by ataxia.
