Story
I have worked with the Henry Allen Trust to tell their story. It has raised some funds but more are needed so I have decided to do a fundraiser.
I thought about doing Dry July which for anyone who knows me would have been a challenge but I decided to go bigger and do 100 days which takes me to the end of September.
A summer without alcohol.
I am doing this because for me personally it is a good time to not drink but also I hope it is a great way to raise money for the trust.
If every day I can get £10 donated then I can smash the target. I have kicked it off with a donation of £10.
If you don't know much about the trust then here is some more information-
Henry Dylan Allen was just two years old in February 2012 when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma. Many of you will know his story- he is a local superhero. Henry went through two years of gruelling tests, painful treatments and surgeries yet Henry smiled. His happiness and bravery were astonishing. Henrys happiness won the hearts of our community and the fundraising began- fundraising initially for treatment abroad. Henrys condition deteriorated and there were no more options. Henry came home and sadly on 20th October 2013 superhero Henry gained his angel wings. Gone but never forgotten. The people of Milton Keynes / surrounding areas, and numerous local business have given support to the trust over the years and for this the trust and Henrys mum and dad, Dawn and Mark, are truly grateful. There are too many to mention but you all know who you are, and you help this heros legacy continue- you are all heros in your own way. We need you!
