Story
Hello all,
Julia & I are running the St Albans half marathon on 12 June and it is a great opportunity to raise some money for a good cause. What better way to do this than to give terminally ill children the chance to just have a good time!
Our target is to finish in under two hours, but please don't judge us if we don't. (I may have been tempted by a few puddings on occasions when I should be training :) & Julia has been a hermit studying for exams - so we can't be blamed!).
I have been training for the last 9 weeks, with highlights including a 9 mile run around the Norfolk countryside as well as a 10 mile run along the clifftops in Devon. It is something that I have wanted to do for a while, ever since Jonny entered me into a half marathon in Norwich 3 years ago, (reluctantly I might add) and I was unable to walk for the next week(hopefully this won't happen again!).
Julia is a little more hardened to the half marathons. I remember thinking she was crazy when she went off to compete in one at uni while I headed for the students union! (sorry Julia...you shouldn't have let me loose on here!)
If you can spare a couple of pennies then it will be much appreciated, and any moral support on the day will also be a bonus! - Julia & I currently have zero spectators :(
Remember, we all deserve to have a good time!
Thanks to all,
Jenny
