Story
I’m taking part in a 50 mile Edinburgh Night Ride on 21st/22nd June 2014. My cycle ride is in memory of Akong Rinpoche, who died on 8th October 2013. Rinpoche set up ROKPA, a charity I have been involved with for the past 10 years, on Holy Isle and Samye Dzong's across the UK. ROKPA is the Tibetan word for 'help' or 'serve'.
ROKPA runs the soup kitchen I volunteered with while I lived in Glasgow, and ROKPA International runs around 150 projects across the world - orphanages, food projects, educational & medical facilities in the UK, Nepal, Tibetan Areas of China and Zimbabwe - I’d love it if you could help me raise money for ROKPA’s projects.
My cycling challenge starts at 11pm on Saturday night and I’ll be cycling through the night to raise money for ROKPA UK Overseas Projects.
