The above photo is of my brother David and I having fun in our garden. I love this picture for so many reasons, it makes me smile every time I look at it. One of many happy memories we shared together!! 

The reason I am raising funds for LOROS is that, as many of you know, David passed away and LOROS gave him care and attention, in his final days, that just went above and beyond. They are a team of dedicated people, showing an empathy with patients and their families. I cannot praise them enough for all their care and support of David and his beautiful girls, Jeni, Charlotte and Natalie. We miss him beyond words.

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay. 

It costs them £8.2 million each year to be able to deliver their services. The NHS does give them some money, but they still need to raise at least £6 million each year.

After a difficult year, its more important than ever to fundraise for LOROS Hospice. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit them hard, and they are facing a £2.3 million loss in raised income across this financial year. It is vital that we raise funds through this event so they can future proof LOROS hospice and continue to provide specialist care to those that need it most.

 So please, whatever money you can pledge to sponsor me will help an amazing organisation continue to support the people who need it most!
