This year I have decided to tackle the Great South Run to raise money for Peace Direct. I have never run anything like 10 miles and with only a month to go, I need all the support I can get! Please dig deep and donate what you can, it will be a huge lift to see the pounds start rolling in!

Supporting me on the Great South Run will really make a difference to those people trying to build peace in countries torn apart by violence and conflict.

So what could your money do?

£8 - Peace Direct could cover the costs for a substitute family to take in a former child soldier for one month, until he can be reconciled with his own family.

£12 a month over a year - Peace Direct could support two people who have fled their homes after violent attacks to set up a co-operative, so they can feed their families.

£35 - Peace Direct could cover the cost of one radio broadcast, spreading a message of peace to militia groups deep in the bush.

£107 - Peace Direct could provide medical supplies to 22 malnourished children in Congo for one month.
