Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2014 I lost my Dad to Pancreatic cancer, just 3 months later I lost my Brother to the same evil disease.
Queenscourt supported the care for my Dad in his own home and my Brother spent his last two weeks of his life being cared for in the hospice.
Myself and my Family are forever grateful for that care, and so I have made it my mission to help raise vital funds for others to be cared for as my Dad and Brother were.
I volunteer my services for both the Santa Sprint and Star Trekk Night walk which are organised yearly by Queenscourt and I also completed the 2018 Virgin London Marathon wearing a Queenscourt vest.
I plan on wearing the same vest to complete the Manchester Half Marathon (which will also be my 18th official half) whilst raising money for the hospice.
I understand we are in the middle of a cost of living crisis and very much appreciate any donation you can make.
2022 was a tough year also as my Mum was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer so my running was put on the back burner whilst I cared for and accompanied her to hospital appointments and chemotherapy sessions. This event gives me something to aim for as I get back into my running whilst supporting a very special charity 💚💜
Thank you
