Story

Hi!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page!

I’ve decided to take part in the London marathon in April and run it for the National autistic society (NAS) and need the support of you lovely people to help raise £2,000!

As Many of you may know my eldest son, Lee, has Autism this affects every part of everyday life from brushing his teeth to being able to be inside a shop.

Autism is a now commonly used word but with little knowledge attached to it and this is what the  NAS are working to change, to give society knowledge of Autism so people with Autism and their families are able to be part of their communities, to not face isolation due to lack of services and understanding.

If things stay the same Lee is one of thousands in the UK with Autism who faces lifelong unemployment and will never live independently as well as facing social isolation. The national autistic society are already fighting to change that by setting up specialist schools and supported living areas, they provide training to employers and employees alike.

They cannot keep up this work without the support of people like you! Any amount is greatly appreciated and obviously motivates me too keep up the training so if you see me with a McDonald’s feel free to slap it out of my hands 😬

Thank you
