Story
I was diagnosed with MS in 2021 after many investigations of strange symptoms. The initial emotions were an absolute rollercoaster going from fear, misery and grief of my old life, not too mention the loss of my ability to wear my heels!! To feelings of positivity, strength and the realisation that I have no other choice but to adjust and get on with living as best I can with this chronic disease that there is no cure for.
I now have a drug plan in place that should stop progression and have made numerous friends with fellow Ms ‘Warriors’
The connections on social media, MS Society and Trust have made me focus on how grateful I am to not be as bad as some and to have developed symptoms much later in life.
I knew very little about this condition before my diagnosis and am doing the walk in london to raise awareness of the impact it has on so many lives! Not only the people living with it but their families and friends too!! I am very lucky to have many amazing friends 3 of which will be joining me in the walk and fundraising.
In the troubled world we are living in right now I am very aware of the needs of so many Charities and I ask for a small donation that will help to find more treatments and possibly a cure for this chronic, sometimes debilitating disease.
Many thanks in advance.
