This will be the second time I do the great north run.  The first time was for Christies and my mum was their to cheer me on.  Sadly she won't be there this time so my dad will have to cheer doubly hard.

My mum was amazing at staying so strong throughout her illness, always replying 'fine' when asked how she was.  One of the things that helped her stay so positive was her wonderful Macmillan nurse, Maureen, who provided both practical and emotional support.

If you can help me give something back, so someone else can benefit from the help of a Macmillan nurse, that would be great.
