Story

I am a Glasgow based adult figure skater and synchronised skater with Starlight Tornado and Starlight Frost who started learning in 2017. The closest year round ice rinks to Glasgow are currently in Lanarkshire and Stirling, which means practice time is limited and requires travel, not easy when also working! Having an ice rink in Glasgow would make a huge difference to ice sports and allow us to progress and train!

The Glasgow Ice Centre charity is dedicated to creating a new multi-sport ice venue in Glasgow.

There are currently no ice rinks at all in the biggest city in Scotland. We are bringing ice sports communities together to work on building a new inclusive and vibrant venue in Glasgow which will let ice sports flourish in the city.

Glasgow Ice Centre was registered as a charity on 3rd July 2020 with the objectives of seeking to improve the health, well-being and quality of life of the population, by introducing a wide range of leisure activities and ice rink sports, such as curling, hockey and skating.(Charity No.SC050260)
