Story
I'm going to do the British 10km Run in London, on the 12th July.
If you know me (even vaguely) you'll know that I am HOPELESSLY unfit and would have pegged me as the last person on earth to do a run!
So - here I am, proving you all wrong. :)
I've had OCD for a long long time - first memories of it was when I was just 9 years old!
I only realised it was 'weird' a year or two ago, and have since researched OCD, which led me to the OCD-UK website and forum.
It has been an absolute godsend sometimes, and I know it has helped many many people when they've been struggling.
Without the forums, I probably wouldn't have been inspired to tackle my OCD, which I am doing now with my wonderful therapist :)
For these reasons (and more besides) I'm throwing myself in at the deep end in running for OCD-UK :)
Thankfully my OCD isn't particularly severe, though it affects my walking, so who knows how I'm going to run 10km!
So this is a massive challenge for me - for my (lack of) fitness and for my OCD.
Thanks in advance for your lovely kind donations :)

UPDATE: 12/07/2009
Well, the race was today, and I did much better than I thought!
Finished in 1 hour 20 mins, which was pretty good for me I thought.
Was a very hot day, I now have very pink shoulders/neck/face!
Few little breezes which stopped me from overheating too much, though I'm very achey now ;)
Again, donations are very gratefully received. :)
