Story
YES, I'm mad, I'm running the LONDON MARATHON again. I'm sure I said I'd never do it again but 5 years pass and you forget the pain (and some colleagues, pictured to the left, caught me after one glass to many of red wine)
I plan to run all 26.2 miles on behalf of JDRF to help find the cure for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, life threatening condition which has a life-long impact on those diagnosed with it. JDRF is the world's leading funder of type 1 diabetes reseach and the only charity dedicated solely to finding the cure.
I'm running with up to 50 other colleagues from who in total are looking to raise £250,000 for JDRF. Look out for us as part of the JDRF Team Pingu! Pingu (the loveable penguin from the Antarctic) is JDRF's Team Mascot for the 2008 London Marathon!!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
