I am running 30 minutes daily, with my pooch Byron, throughout November to raise money for the Guide Dogs.

I've always known what a guide dog does and how much we need them in society. That said, it wasn't until I met a lady called Jo a few years ago that it was made real just how amazing these dogs are. Jo's story was an inspiration to me and the reason I wanted to do this challenge.

Guide dogs allow people to have to confidence to go outside their homes, help them feel secure when they are alone or out and about and give back their independence amongst other things. Jo's dog Bess is a lifesaver and an amazing companion. We need more dogs like Bess to allow people the opportunity to live fully.
