We are nurses who works at Hayward House, a specialist palliative care unit within the grounds of City hospital. It is an incredibly special place, providing high quality care centred on the needs of patients and their families, from diagnosis, through the interim periods of advancing disease, up to and including end-of-life care. 

We’re taking on the Robin Hood Half Marathon to raise funds to provide added extras such as improved facilities, equipment, research and staff development. 

The appeal also intends to transform part of our beautiful gardens,  so we can easily take our patient outside in their beds to spend quality time alone, or with their loved ones, in tranquil surroundings.
