I love my Dad with all my heart and always will. He passed away last March from cancer.
When my Dads Macmillan nurse was coming he would say "I love that nurse" because she gave him confidence, made him feel special and she really cared not only about him but also me, my Mam and my sister. She made his life better. She made things seem less scary. She looked after us all in those final weeks. I love my Dads Macmillan nurse!!
I also love my long hair......
I have had long hair all my life and always have thought of my hair as my greatest asset. As my Dad was called Rob/Bob I have decided to cut my hair (into a Bob!) and donate it to a cancer wig making charity and also use this as an opportunity to raise a bit of money in honour of my lovely Dad.
The charity I have chosen to donate my hair to is ‘Little Princess Trust.'
They make wigs for children who have lost their hair to cancer treatment or other illness. The total amount/length of hair I will be donating is about 12 inches.
The charity I will be donating any sponsorship to is Macmillan.
This is a charity which is incredibly close to my heart and anyone who has spoken to me about Macmillan will know I am extremely passionate about how truly wonderful they are. I could go on forever about how wonderful they are but I am sure everyone has their own story and will hopefully have had the same experience of them.
