The Big Chop

Jennifer Paterson is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Mia’s Big Chop! · 25 August 2021

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

I am Mia and I am nearly 10! I asked my mummy a little while ago if I could cut my hair and donate it to charity. She told me about The Little Princess Trust and it made me so happy to know that by donating my hair I can make another child feel a little bit happier in a time when they need a lift. I also want to raise money for this charity because not only do they make wigs but they are trying to find better ways to help children with cancer through their medical research. I hope this will help more children in the future to get better.

I am getting my hair cut in August and am aiming for more than 14 inches so another child can get to have a lovely long haired wig!
