Story

Hi Everyone,

I’m running the London Marathon to raise money for the British Dyslexic Association. This is my first marathon (and I’m petrified) but the challenge of running 26.2 miles is nothing in comparison to the daily challenges, frustrations and worries felt living in a society not designed for your dyslexic mind.

I was only clinically diagnosed with dyslexia during my degree, therefore spent the majority of my education struggling with simple tasks others found so easy. I’ve grown to understand how my mind works, building my own coping mechanisms however many others aren’t so fortunate as me.

Dyslexia makes simple, auditory visual tasks far more challenging. The work the BDA do to encourage schools to become more dyslexia friendly and enable dyslexic people to achieve their potential in the workplace is so important. I’m excited to run for this great charity and therefore any donations you’re able to make to support brilliant dyslexic minds is very much appreciated.

Thank you!! X
